Terms of Service
Last updated: 16 June 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Joust (“Joust”, “we”, “us”), the toolkit platform available at withjoust.com and related domains (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Joust is a platform of subscribable tools for solo founders and freelancers. Our first tool is the Booking Calendar, which gives you a personal scheduling link (for example, withjoust.com/your-handle), an embeddable booking widget, and optional two-way Google Calendar sync. We may add, change, or remove tools over time.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You may need to verify your email address to use certain features. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service.
3. Your handle and booking link
Each account claims a unique handle that forms your public booking link. Some handles are reserved. You may not choose a handle that impersonates another person or brand, infringes trademarks, or is misleading. We may reclaim, suspend, or reassign handles that are dormant, abusive, infringing, or claimed in bad faith, including through our handle-request process.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or abusive purposes;
- send spam, or use bookings or emails to harass or mislead;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the Service;
- scrape or harvest data, or access the Service other than through the interfaces we provide;
- resell or sublicense the Service without our permission.
5. Bookings and invitees
As a host, you are responsible for the meetings you schedule and your interactions with invitees, including any content you add to your booking page or events. Joust facilitates scheduling but is not a party to, and is not responsible for, the meetings themselves. Invitees submit their details (such as name and email) to book time with you; you are responsible for how you use that information.
6. Subscriptions, trials, and billing
Tools may be offered on a free trial (currently 14 days). After the trial, continued access requires a paid subscription, billed monthly per tool or via the Full Armory bundle. Payments are processed by Stripe; by subscribing, you authorise recurring charges until you cancel. You may cancel anytime, effective at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable for partial periods. We may change pricing with reasonable notice.
7. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third parties, including Google (Calendar), Stripe (payments), and our email provider. Your use of those integrations is also subject to the third parties’ own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
8. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as your profile, event details, and booking data). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Joust and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our trademarks or other intellectual property except as needed to use the Service.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that scheduling, reminders, or calendar sync will always be timely or accurate.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Joust will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or £100.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Joust harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive will survive.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.
